May 2024 - Present: Senior General Manager for Business Development & Partnerships and subject matter expert advisor to HE the Chairman, Saudi Conventions & Exhibitions General Authority
Chaired by H.E. Fahd Al Rasheed, the Saudi Conventions and Exhibitions General Authority (SCEGA) acts as the licensing body for business events and seeks to enable the growth of the MICE sector through the continual development of regulation and legislation that govern and organize the ecosystem of the industry in order to attract quality exhibitions and conferences, develop local exhibitions and conferences, promote the competitive advantages of the Kingdom, and leverage the sector’s contribution to the national economy.
January 2024 - May 2024: Senior Director of Event Management, Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Foundation - MISK
Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Foundation (The Misk Foundation) is a non-profit foundation established by H.R.H. Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman in 2011 to discover, develop and empower Saudi youth to become active participants in the future economy. Misk enables the society to learn, develop and progress in business, literature and culture, and science and technology through establishing incubators and encouraging esteemed institutions to provide an attractive and stimulating environment. It pursues this agenda both through its own programs, and through partnerships with local and global organizations.
January 2020 - January 2024: Senior Director- Conferences & Exhibitions, Royal Commission for Riyadh City - RCRC
After 12 years of producing and executing high caliber conferences and strategic meetings for international organizations, government entities and Fortune 500 companies, Chiara was chosen to lead the MICE (Meetings, Incentive, Conferences and Exhibitions) division of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, powering Riyadh as the next MICE global destination by 2030.
The Royal Commission for Riyadh was established by a Royal decree in August 2019. The Commission is responsible for the urban, economic, social, and cultural development of Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia.
Chiara’s Responsibilities include:
Creating and delivering the MICE strategy for 2020-2030
Developing the MICE ecosystem (job creation).
Creating synergies with the private sector, to identify gaps in the market
Establishing strategic partnerships with local and international organisations.
Producing marquee global events in alignment with Vision 2030’s objectives
Organizing and managing high profile events with top tier international partners.
Attracting foreign giga brands (trade shows/conferences/summits) to host their next editions in the capital
